Saturday May 1st brought unprecedented weather to Nashville that will not soon be forgotten. While it saddened us to cancel the 5k, everyone's safety was our primary concern and the unrelenting thunderstorms left us little choice. We are especially grateful for the many of you who braved the weather to celebrate with us at the stadium despite the cancelation! Unfortunately, there is no rain date. But just as Nashville and its citizens will bounce back from the storm, The Trot's 5K will return next spring better then ever!

We hope you recognize that the Shade Tree Trot is more then a single day's event. It is a year-long campaign for the Shade Tree Clinic of which Vanderbilt Medical School is extremely proud! With your generous support, we raised over $20,000 (so far) and registered nearly 500 runners in what would have been a great 5K. In the end, we should all be very proud!

Thanks again for your encouragement and understanding! We are confident that Mother Nature will make it up to us next spring with a beautiful day. We hope to have your fantastic support again!
